Understanding the Problem. Designing the solution
Problem statement:
In Nepal, available data indicates that girls represent a significant proportion of reported sexual violence cases, with children aged 11–14 among the most affected groups. Research also shows that most perpetrators are known to the victim, highlighting the importance of prevention efforts within families, schools, and communities.
Alongside offline risks, digital safety is becoming an increasingly important concern. Studies in Nepal suggest that many children are exposed to cyber risks from an early age, including online grooming, inappropriate communication, and other forms of digital exploitation.
For more than 12 years, Fightback has combined research, field experience, and data-informed analysis to better understand patterns of violence and vulnerability. Our dataset includes :
Patterns of violence and abuse
Victim and offender profiles
Emerging trends across regions and time
Data-Driven Intervention
Identify high-risk groups (especially adolescents)
