Problem statement:

Adolescents across South Asia face persistent risks related to sexual violence and online harassment, affecting their safety, well-being, and ability to thrive in school and community settings.

In Nepal, available data indicates that girls represent a significant proportion of reported sexual violence cases, with children aged 11–14 among the most affected groups. Research also shows that most perpetrators are known to the victim, highlighting the importance of prevention efforts within families, schools, and communities.

Alongside offline risks, digital safety is becoming an increasingly important concern. Studies in Nepal suggest that many children are exposed to cyber risks from an early age, including online grooming, inappropriate communication, and other forms of digital exploitation.

For more than 12 years, Fightback has combined research, field experience, and data-informed analysis to better understand patterns of violence and vulnerability. Our dataset includes :

Patterns of violence and abuse

Victim and offender profiles

Emerging trends across regions and time

This allows us to go beyond reported cases and understand the real nature of violence.

Data-Driven Intervention

Based on national data and our own long-term analysis, Fightback designs its programs strategically. We use data to:

Identify high-risk groups (especially adolescents)

Understand behavioral patterns of offenders

Map unsafe environments and situations

Select priority geographies and communities
