How does our program work?

Fightback’s training model is built on a balanced integration of soft skills and physical self-defense, delivered through structured 1-day, 2-days, and 3-days programs. The approach recognizes that true self-defense begins in the mind and is reinforced by the body.

Soft Skills

The Foundation of Self-Defense

Participants learn to:

  • Identify threats, violence, and harassment in everyday situations
  • Recognize early warning signs and red flags
  • Understand and manage fear responses (freeze, flight, fight)
  • Apply safety frameworks for both offline and online environments
  • Build situational awareness, boundary-setting, and decision-making skills
  • These sessions emphasize awareness, judgment, and prevention-helping individuals avoid danger whenever possible.

Physical Skills

Practical Self-Protection

Participants learn to:

  • Blocking and deflecting common attacks
  • Escaping grabs, holds, and restraints
  • Using body mechanics for safe and effective counter-responses
  • Creating opportunities to break free and get to safety
  • Techniques are designed to be practical, realistic, and adaptable, regardless of strength or size.

Alternating Learning

For Better Retention

Participants learn to:

  • Understand why a response is needed
  • Learn when to act
  • Practice how to respond physically

This alternating structure reinforces learning, improves retention, and ensures participants can connect awareness with action.

Progressive Learning

Participants learn to:

  • 1-Day Program
Core awareness and basic physical responses
  • 2-Day Program
Deeper understanding of risk, fear management, and escape techniques
  • 3-Day Program
Comprehensive training integrating prevention, response, and confidence-building through repeated practice
