Donations
Fightback operates through a hybrid model. Fightback International is a nonprofit supported through donations, grants, and institutional partnerships. In Nepal, Fightback works through both a nonprofit entity and a social enterprise arm. Revenue generated from paid training, workshops, and institutional partnerships through the social enterprise helps subsidize free or affordable safety and self-defense programs delivered to vulnerable communities and low-income schools through our nonprofit work. This model strengthens long-term sustainability while expanding access across Nepal.
Fightback’s annual revenue comes exclusively from grants and partnerships with foundations and like-minded organizations. Because these awards fluctuate year to year, the total raised varies and is determined by the specific grants and collaborations secured in a given period.
We spent the most to deliver safety and self-defense programs in schools that cannot afford to pay and in marginalized communities across Nepal. Your contributions will also cover training instructors, developing curriculum materials and delivering field- based programs with minimum administrative costs.
Yes, all your donations to Fightback are tax-deductible in accordance with United States tax law. Fightback is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization registered in the U.S. Our U.S Tax Identification Number (EIN) is 39-3661832.
The email confirmation you receive for your online donation is your official receipt. For tax purposes, please keep a copy for your records.
Fightback International follows strict financial accountability and transparency standards. Funds are received into Fightback International’s registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit bank account and are subject to annual
independent audits and board-level financial oversight. We ensure every dollar is used responsibly toward programs that advance safety education, gender equality, and empowerment training.

Our work
Fightback is proudly rooted in Nepal, where we have actively delivered our programs across 40 districts, focusing heavily on rural and under-resourced communities through school- and community-based interventions. As part of our regional scaling strategy, we are currently expanding our footprint into India through strategic Technical Transfer Agreements and localized content partnerships to bring critical safety education to new geographies.
To date, Fightback has trained over 115,500 participants.
We prioritize communities and demographics that face the highest risks of gender-based violence, harassment, and safety vulnerabilities. We partner directly with local schools, community-based organizations, local government and international NGOs to identify regions, particularly rural areas, where access to empowerment and safety training is most critical. This ensures our programs reach those who need them most.
Our curriculum is built on a comprehensive mental, vocal and physical safety framework:
Mental: Building situational awareness, threat assessment, and psychological resilience.
Vocal: Boundary setting, de-escalation techniques, and assertive communication.
Physical: Practical, easy-to-remember physical defense maneuvers designed for real-world scenarios.
We are currently shifting this field-tested model into an interactive, gamified digital e-learning experience, making safety education highly engaging, accessible, and easily scalable.
Your contributions support both Fightback’s in-person and digital safety education initiatives. Funds are used to provide in-person behavioral safety and violence prevention training for vulnerable groups, including adolescents, women, and underserved communities, while also supporting the development, localization, and deployment of our digital e-learning infrastructure. Contributions also help subsidize access for students in rural and low-income communities, support multilingual content creation, strengthen digital learning systems, and enable grassroots implementation, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure measurable behavioral learning outcomes and long-term social impact. As an organization committed to radical institutional transparency, we proudly maintain a Platinum Seal of Transparency on Candid, ensuring our donors can clearly see how their investments contribute to measurable social impact and scalable safety education initiatives.
Yes. Fightback’s programs are designed for different age groups and stakeholder categories within the broader safety ecosystem. While our core mental, vocal, and physical safety framework remains consistent, the curriculum is carefully adapted based on age, context, accessibility needs, and audience requirements. Fightback provides specialized training for adolescents, working men and women, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable communities, along with stakeholder-focused training for teachers, parents, schools, institutions, caregivers, and community members who play an important role in supporting the safety and well-being of children and adolescents. For younger learners, the curriculum focuses more on situational awareness, recognizing safe and unsafe behaviors, emotional awareness, and vocal boundary setting. For older adolescents and adults, the content expands to include topics such as digital safety, peer harassment, workplace violence and harassment, coercive behaviors, relationship safety, bystander intervention, and advanced self-defense and response strategies. Fightback also adapts training approaches and learning materials to improve accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities through contextualized facilitation methods, inclusive communication approaches, and accessible learning design where possible.
We don't just train and walk away. Fightback utilizes a robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework. We conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure immediate knowledge retention and confidence level.
While our primary focus is on empowering women, girls, and vulnerable groups who face disproportionate rates of sexual violence, safety is an inclusive issue. We frequently run specialized programs for boys and men to foster allyship, challenge harmful gender norms, and build safer, more supportive communities for everyone.
Absolutely. We are always looking to expand our network of institutional partners. Schools, community groups, and NGOs can reach out to us directly through our Contact Page to discuss booking a physical workshop or onboarding students onto our digital e-learning platform.
Our gamified digital platform is designed to complement and scale our proven field curriculum, not replace the human element. It delivers the exact same mental and vocal principles through interactive, scenario-based learning at a fraction of the delivery cost, making it possible to reach remote areas where deploying physical trainers isn't logistically or financially viable.
