About Fightback

About Fightback

Fightback is a sexual violence risk reduction education program for girls and women which develops their critical mental, vocal and physical skills to prevent, mitigate and manage the risk of sexual violence. It also engages boys, men, parents, and teachers in the fight against sexual violence to create a more safe and equitable society. In Nepal, Fightback works through both a nonprofit entity and a social enterprise arm. With the social enterprise entity, every profit we make, we cross-subsidize it to training in low-income schools in different parts of Nepal.

Who We Are

A Father’s Vision, A Generation’s Strength

Fightback began with a question every parent asks: What kind of world do we want our daughters to grow up in?

For our founder, Vikrant Pandey, the answer was personal. He envisioned a future where his daughter could walk through life completely free from fear – a society where safety isn’t a luxury, but a fundamental right. He dreamed of a world where her ambitions would never be sidelined by concerns for her physical security. That vision became the foundation of Fightback.

How Fightback started?

Fightback began in 2013 when Vikrant Pandey collaborated with Uddab Thapa Magar to create a program that combined risk management expertise with martial arts training, going beyond traditional self-defense to build mental, vocal, and physical skills to prevent and respond to sexual violence.
